Training and Development

A new training and development programme was planned for delivery during the latter part of the year. 2 accredited courses were delivered in November including Food Safety Level 2 Award and Emergency First Aid at Work. Courses were provided by Pat Marshall Training and St John Ambulance and were made possible through funding received from South West Foundation and the Learning Curve/European Social Fund. 10 people were successful in completing Emergency First Aid and 12 people achieved the Food Safety Level 2 Award accreditation. Further courses in both areas are scheduled in early 2018 with Communication workshops, Child Protection and Paediatric First Aid planned for February and April. 8 people attended a Homelessness Awareness Training session delivered to us by Plymouth Access to Housing in October 2017 (a further 5 people having attended a similar session in May.
